Healing the Land Fire Walk in Glen Ellen, February 3

Join us for a special hike on lands that are healing from the October 2017 fires. We’ll experience the greening of the charred landscape and look for fire-follower flowers with experts from the Sonoma Ecology Center and Teri Shore, Greenbelt Alliance North Bay Field Director. LEADERSTeri Shore and Caitlin Cornwall TOTAL DISTANCEThis is a moderate hike of about 3-1/2 miles with an elevation gain of about 500 feet. WEATHER POLICYRain cancels. WHERE TO MEETWe’ll assemble near the main parking lot for Sonoma Valley Regional Park. NOTESBring water, lunch, dress in layers, and wear good hiking shoes. Bring poles if you normally use them. You may wish to bring binoculars. The walk will be on both paved paths and single track trails, so be prepared for mud.
