Are You Focused on Your Child’s Education Savings Plan?

Posted on 06 November 2011 by tom

In this day and age there are many companies, not to mention people, having an extremely difficult time keeping their heads above water.  The financial issues we are all facing on a daily basis have become somewhat ‘suffocating.’  Every day we are attempting to figure out the next steps to solidify our industries, businesses, employment and – most importantly – how to save money for our children’s future, so that the next generation can be ‘placed’ into a world with the knowledge necessary to have a bright and financially stable life.  There are few businesses that are still offering their employees great healthcare plans, stock, 529 plans, and IRAs – and the ‘worry’ has taken over in more than one household.

However, there is one brilliant spot in the economy at this moment in time, and it is a company that has been able to put together a way for all families – no matter what their financial status – to be able to save funds for their children’s education.  529 plans are savings accounts that can be opened when your child arrives in the world.  From day one, you can begin to plan for the high prices that will be in place when your child heads off to college.

Mission Tuition is a brand new company that was formed so that all children would be given the resources to further their education by building just such an account.  All children deserve the chance to go to college, and parents and families are truly doing their best to learn and research the various ways of saving money for the next generation.  Mission Tuition was put together in order for parents, without putting a strain on their income, to save those much-needed funds far in advance, so that when college-age approaches the money will be there.

Mission Tuition is a truly amazing company that has taken 529 plans one step further, by providing a simple and FREE way for parents to begin saving. A truly easy savings plan is offered, where family members sign up with Mission Tuition who manage an “educational savings account” that is located at Wells Fargo bank, and you use the benefits of Mission Tuition to not only save money but also to help coordinate a fantastic 529 plan for your child’s future.  After becoming a part of Mission Tuition, everyday spending can and will help YOU save for college. They offer one of the largest merchant coalition in America to provide parents and families with the widest array of savings opportunities possible. Simply put, when you shop for your everyday needs, you save for your child’s education.

The Mission Tuition program is simple to use:  sign up for the program (FREE), do your shopping at the top retailers in all areas of industry – from groceries to clothing – and save.  The everyday shopping you do already with retailers across the country will finally help pay for college expenses.

From companies such as Petco to Walgreens, Nordstrom to SEARS, Old Navy to Bass Pro Shops.  From food and wine companies to groceries and toys, computers to appliances, with Mission Tuition you can save! By shopping at your favorite retailers, you can pick up brands you know and trust, while at the same time getting money back to place into an account that will be unbelievably necessary for your child’s future.

Readers, I cannot stress enough that this process is absolutely free. The reason why?  Because nothing is free anymore that is THIS beneficial to our lives. Mission Tuition offers easy enrollment.  Then, you simply shop for products you already need, and the advertised rebates that show on Mission Tuition’s website go directly into the educational savings account. You can use any of your existing debit or credit cards to make purchases, too!  And if your favorite card happens to earn miles or points, you receive them as well, in addition to Mission Tuition’s cash rebates – doubling your benefits with every purchase.  And all of this is “on top of” the in-store discounts you already receive!

Not only will the “educational savings account” reside at Wells Fargo as you research what the best avenues of education are for your child, but Mission Tuition is also there to give instruction and information about 529 tax deferred college savings accounts for your child. When you’re ready to access your savings, you simply let Mission Tuition know and they take care of the rest. You can request a check to withdraw funds, or speak to the incredibly knowledgeable staff at Mission Tuition regarding the transferring of the money.  Only YOU have access to your money for the funding of your child‘s education. If you already have an active state 529 tax deferred college savings plan in place, you simply notify Mission Tuition and they will send a check immediately for deposit into your plan.

.

Once you’ve become a member, savings is easy. Mission Tuition also offers valuable coupons for in-store discounts on dining, groceries, shopping and entertainment. Simply log in, select from YOUR favorite stores and start the savings. For even greater savings, you also have the option of applying for a new “Mission Tuition MasterCard” that will earn you additional cash rewards on all your purchases.

Over the next few weeks we are going to give you an in-depth look at this truly fantastic company that’s SO needed in this recession-wary day and age.  Everything is offered at Mission Tuition, from being able to inform customers and give them the ability to set goals, as well as information on how much you need to save for your child’s education.

They offer a calculator that can help you to better understand what the actual cost of tuition will be when your child is ready for college.  They teach you about saving early and the college tuition rates that increase every year. They talk about dedicating a small amount of your monthly budget to college savings and how THEY can help to offset the rising costs. And, most of all, Mission Tuition will help YOU to better understand and open that much-needed 529 College Savings Plan.

You can use the money you save in your 529 at any college or university, anywhere in the country. The plans differ from state to state, but all are free from federal tax. You might also consider a “Prepaid College Tuition Plan” to help lock in tuition rates now and avoid rising costs. Mission Tuition offers many links to show you how to plan for college and the responsibility that each member of your family shares. In fact, by including your children in the discussion, the whole family can understand the full cost of education and the value of planning for the future. Links are even available at the Mission Tuition site that contain information about paying for college in a format meant for your children to learn and understand.

To save enough money for your child’s college education you need to make a plan and start early – Mission Tuition can help you with both. When you sign up, they give you the flexibility to open a new 529 College Savings Account, deposit funds in an existing 529 account, or simply hold your savings in your Mission Tuition/Wells Fargo account as you continue to decide.  That way you are losing no time, and getting the refunds and benefits immediately.

Over the next few weeks we will be ‘opening up’ the educational landscape, and going over the many positives regarding 529 plans.  For a brief introduction to these particular savings routes: the 529 is a tax-advantaged investment plan that’s designed to encourage saving for a designated beneficiary’s future higher education expenses. The plans are administered by state agencies and organizations.  We will go over all aspects of the 529 savings plan and you will see that they are far better than a typical savings account.  One large reason for this is the fact that when you withdraw money for qualified education expenses from a 529, it is free from federal income tax.  Even better, many states also follow this rule, so you may not have to pay any state taxes either. But remember, as you learn and discover which 529 plan you would like to invest in, you can STILL utilize the Mission Tuition account to gather your rebates – you don’t miss a single day of reaping the benefits of this incredible system.

When this writer speaks about the fact that Mission Tuition has built up a coalition of thousands of merchants nationwide, this is no understatement. When you shop with the Mission Tuition merchants you SAVE, and your cash rebates are deposited into your educational savings account – no muss, no fuss. Several of these merchants offer savings opportunities of up to 15% of your total purchase. Also, when you shop in-person, you receive their advertised discount right there on the spot. So every time you shop – whether online or in-person – you can be sure that you’re preparing for your child’s future.

This is a truly outstanding company that offers the one thing that all parents need – a way to provide for their child’s future.

Until Next Time, Everybody.

ADL Caring Companions The Leaders in Home Health Care

Posted on 08 September 2011 by tom

ADL Caring Companions

The Leaders in Home Health Care

There is a generation that gave each and every one of us their love, respect, compassion, support, and helped us to become the people we have become.  This is the generation who now carry the highly respected titles of great-grandfather, grandmother, and more.  And they are NOT being given the same amount of respect that they have given to us.  THIS is unacceptable!

Shocking statistics have been reported about nursing and retirement homes, such as:  90% of nursing homes have staff levels too low for adequate care; the average annual cost for a private nursing home room MAY be $175,000 by 2021; one out of four nursing homes has been cited for death or serious injury to a patient!  And this frightening list goes on.  There are many issues and difficulties facing the world – starvation, the horrific economy, war – but a situation that involves a threat to our own mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers – OUR FAMILIES – is something that needs to be addressed and changed right now!  Human beings should be honored and respected, and that is exactly what ADL Caring Companions are all about!

ADL Caring Companions was founded in 2002 in San Antonio, Texas, and has gone on to make a tremendously positive impact in the communities they serve.  In fact, after just three years in operation, the San Antonio office of ADL Caring Companions was ranked in the top ten of San Antonio’s home health agencies (ranked by the San Antonio Business Journal based upon number of patients served in 2005).  After the huge success in San Antonio, ADL Caring Companions opened a second office in 2004 in Dallas, proving that the ADL idea of in-home private duty senior care was one that would work!  AND was desperately needed by people across America!

ADL Caring Companions is not just in the “business” of providing home health care.  In fact, the entire concept was created by president and founder, Patrick O’Hare, who saw the very desperate need for top-quality care for the elderly after facing his own difficult experience.  Having a maternal grandmother who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of lung cancer, members of the O’Hare family dropped everything to care for their mother around the clock.  Though there were great stories shared, as well as laughter and tears during those final days, the amount of strain it placed on the family was overwhelming.  But, unlike so many nowadays, the wonderful upside was that a truly amazing lady who deserved the best care possible received it, and was able to pass away peacefully in her own home surrounded by her family and friends.
Unfortunately, there are a great many families that are not able to do this for their loved ones.  They want to with all their hearts but money and time – two hardships that sometimes can not be overlooked – get in the way.  Other seniors do not have family members, and find themselves in the home health care or nursing home system where they are lost, literally, and…lonely.

With ADL Caring Companions, your loved one receives the highest quality non-medical in-home senior care possible.  With ADL, people are able to live their lives with dignity and respect – in their own homes – having one of the best caregivers in the industry by their side to provide them with everything they need from help to support to friendship.  ADL Caring Companions is exactly what they say they are.  These are high-quality caregivers who provide flexible care based upon an individual’s specific needs and requests – seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day.

ADL Caring Companions actually matches each and every one of their clients with the perfect caregiver for them. These caregivers not only serve a person’s health care needs, but they also provide every client with a solid life enhancing relationship with a new, true friend.  With all the amazing services, and the best care offered in the industry, it comes as no surprise that ADL Caring Companions is now the largest provider of private duty senior care.  And, what’s even better, is the fact that ADL Caring Companions continues to expand by developing ADL franchises, and helping them to learn and use the ADL system to develop and grow their own senior care business.

ADL Caring Companions, with their highly successful operations in two major metropolitan areas, decided that this is the path they would take in order to bring every senior in this country the care they should expect!  With their successful system combined with the increasing need for quality private duty senior care, ADL decided the best way to share their dream, vision, and philosophy was to offer ADL Caring Companions as a franchise opportunityADL is looking for serious people to expand the ADL mission across this country, getting to the point where ADL exists in every town and city across the land, making sure that every member of the senior generation is being treated with respectADL is committed to the same level of quality in their franchises as they demand from themselves every single day.

The services offered to clients are never-ending.  In fact, ADL stands for Activities of Daily Living.  The six basic ADL’s are eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring (walking), and continence.  In addition to these, the ADL experienced and trained staff carefully design a unique, individual plan of care that specifically meets the varied needs of each one of their clients.  The “Caring Companions” at ADL take the time to get to know their clients – who they are and what they like.  In this personal way, ADL can match clients with the best “Caring Companion” for them and their situation.

The ADL goal is to build a network of successful franchise owners who do as well in their own franchise areas as ADL Caring Companions is doing in their original locations.  And ADL is currently looking for people with the right combination of talents, abilities, and skill sets – as well as a very real desire to learn – in order to open up a franchise in their town and follow the ADL system.

In the upcoming weeks, we are going to delve into the amazing world of ADL Caring Companions.  Millions are going to want this service; a company that actually helps and supports the amazing people who loved and watched over the rest of us.  People will now be able to stay in their own homes and have someone care for them every single day.  ADL Caring Companions is a fantastic program that the world has needed for a very long time, and as we unveil ADL, readers will see first hand the wealth of services they offer including:  Companionship; Personal Assistance Services; Respite Care; Medication Reminders; Meal Preparations; Laundry and Light Housekeeping; and, Transportation.

ADL Caring Companions is NEEDED for our loved ones, and is also a remarkable business opportunity for others to bring ADL Caring Companions into their own hometowns and cities, to offer a premiere senior care franchise to the ones who deserve it the most!  We will also be going over all the franchise opportunities, and speak about the system that is designed to give those interested in opening a senior care franchise the information they need to become part of the phenomenal ADL organization.

No one can match the wondrous services and the truly compassionate and skilled staff that IS the solid foundation that ADL Caring Companions was built upon.  It is time to return the respect, dignity, and love that our seniors have shown to us!  And we can do that…with ADL Caring Companions!

Posted on 25 June 2010 by Sam Sac

The American Visions Art Gallery in Old Town Folsom is featuring old masters in what they call a “wonder-filled and whimsical art class.”  Parents are encouraged to bring their child and their friends to the gallery to enjoy the enriching experience that lets them create art modeled after masters such as Van Gogh, Matisse, and Georgia O’Keefe.

In The Matisse Project, each child makes a collage from colorful cut-outs on black and white cardstock, just as Matisse did in his later years. This project is June 24,  just before the Thursday Night Market, between 4:30 and 6:30 pm

For The Van Gogh Project, each child composes their own version of “Starry Night” using watercolor with crayon resist and salt texture for the stars and moon., Tuesday July 20, 4:30 – 6:30 pm

In The O’Keefe Project: each child will paint a watercolor iris with a masked border to frame it. This is on Aug. 19 (Just before Thursday Night Market) at 4:30 to 6:30pm

Children ages 6 and up are welcome.  Cost per child: $4 including materials

Dana Childs, from Flight Arts and Educational Adventures, will teach each session.

Obama Administration Disinterested, Uninformed on Afghanistan War

Posted on 23 June 2010 by Sam Sac

Move America Forward, the nation’s largest grassroots pro-troop organization, called on Americans to focus on recent revelations that President Obama seemed disinterested and uninformed on the war in Afghanistan.

As the Obama administration fumes over General Stanley McChrystal’s comments in the upcoming Rolling Stone article “Runaway General,” the pro-troop group organization expressed shock that the President of the United States can be disinterested and uninformed on the war against Islamic terrorism in Afghanistan.

“The General should have quit and alerted the American people to these shocking facts,” said the group’s Director of Communications, Danny Gonzalez, “but more importantly, this reveals the truth of the frustration and desperation of our military leaders in the face of President Obama’s ambivalence to winning the war in Afghanistan.

“In a time when America is at war, when the greatest threat to American security is Islamic terrorism, it is appalling and inexcusable that the Obama administration is preoccupied, uninformed, and disinterested in winning the war in Afghanistan.

“This episode should serve as a huge wake up call to the American public that President Obama needs to focus on Afghanistan.  We owe it to our troops to support them.  The unwillingness of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, Attorney General Eric Holder and others in the Administration to call our fight against Islamic terrorist the war that it is, now makes sense.

The President is not providing leadership.

“The focus of attention seems to be that General Stanley McChrystal should not have been so forthcoming in the Rolling Stone article.  But that is ignoring the seriousness of the charges he has leveled against the White House and Obama Administration.  We urge President Obama to start acting like a Commander- in-Chief and keep America safe by recommitting to win the war in Afghanistan by giving the military the support they need,” Gonzalez concluded.
