Lt. Governor Maldonado Briefed At Deepwater Horizon Incident Command Post In Houma, Louisiana; Thanks California State Employees On Duty

Lt. Governor Maldonado visited the US Coast Guard Pacific Strike Team, during an aerial tour of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Several California State Employees were on duty at the Deepwater Horizon Incident Command Post In Houma, Louisiana.

Lt. Governor Maldonado was briefed by Lieutenant Karl Breedlove, an Operations Officer. and Lt. Commander Patricia Kutch at the US Coast Guard Incident Command Post.

The US Coast Guard Incident Command Post is charged with the strategic response and coordination of the recovery of Louisiana’s coastline.

Lt. Governor Maldonado also spoke with California state employee Charlotte Peaters Shoreline, a member of the Cleanup and Assessment Team, on rotational duty in Louisiana to help with the spill efforts.
